Project:     This 566,000 SF federal building consists of 16 floors that typically measure 20 feet high. Completed in 1997, this structure contains several unique features, such as light wells to funnel natural light, varying window systems and an unusual facade made of stone and glass. Our staff provided detailed design for this stone and glass facade incorporating aluminum panels and stainless canopies. The building’s design has won two awards, the Portland AIA Honor Award in 1997 and the General Services Administration’s Design Honor Award in 1995. In 1997-1998, the building exceeded the Oregon's Energy Code by 29%.

Responsibility:     The staff provided consulting services to the architect for the exterior facade, performed system design of all exterior facade components including the aluminum curtainwall, metal panel and limestone veneer systems.
