Project:     UW Medicine is one of the countries leading medical schools and incorporates education patient care and research. The Lake Union campus forms a biotechnology and medical research hub with laboratory and office space. The center incorporates an existing building that has been renovated and refitted to fit the purpose and Phase 2 adds a further 3 buildings. The new buildings feature pressure-equalized drained-joint curtain walls with stainless steel mesh feature screens for solar control. The lighting hovers over the courtyard supported on a web of cables tensioned between the buildings.
Responsibility:     The Facade Group is providing consultancy to Perkins and Will including: schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding evaluation and construction administration.
