Project:     The Sydney Hilton Hotel was totally refurbished in 2004. The existing building was stripped to a bare frame and totally refitted. As part of the renovation an arrival court was created. It features a highly transparent glass wall, free spanning clear of the structure on dowel spliced glass fins. The feature piece is a 90 foot glass canopy set on tension trusses.

Responsibility:     The staff provided engineering and design development of the 30 meter long suspension truss canopy and glass fin systems with glass-glass splice joints.

Architect:     Johnson Pilton Walker

Completion:     2005
