Project:     The Suffolk County Council Chambers incorporates a glass atrium between the buildings of the complex. The atrium provides abundant natural light while maintaining a controlled environment for circulation between the buildings. The glass features point fixed IGU’s with low-E coated glass. A combination of tension trusses and light-weight steel frames were used for the structure. Cast stainless steel and cast ductile iron was used in the feature components such as the glass spiders and tension structure clevises.

Responsibility:     Design, engineering, detailing, shop drawings, site engineering, site QA, procurement and factory inspections were provided for this job.
