| Project: |
The Suffolk County Council Chambers incorporates a glass atrium between the buildings of the complex. The atrium provides abundant natural light while maintaining a controlled environment for circulation between the buildings. The glass features point fixed IGU’s with low-E coated glass. A combination of tension trusses and light-weight steel frames were used for the structure. Cast stainless steel and cast ductile iron was used in the feature components such as the glass spiders and tension structure clevises.
