Project:     The 584,483 square foot office building fills an entire block in downtown Portland Oregon. The tower is 24 stories and has 1 level of retail and 6 levels of parking in the base of the building.

Responsibility:     The Facade Group, LLC provided design and shop drawings for the granite veneer and the strut framing support system. Our detailing and design responsibilities started with the embedded angles for the support of the strut framing system and ended at the face of the stone. We provided fabrication drawings for the steel parts and stone piece tickets for stone fabrication. The stone is anchored using continuous kerfs top and bottom engaged by extruded aluminum anchors. In addition to holding the stone in place, the support framing had to accommodate building seismic movements, live load deflections and support the infill windows.
